I discovered astrology in my tweens when a friend brought Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs to algebra and we found it a whole lot more interesting than polynomial equations. I passed algebra anyway, and moved on to Rose Lineman’s Compendium of Astrology.
Reading charts professionally came a little later, when I was studying for an MFA in poetry. My love of mythology and interest in archetypes came in handy for both–and astrology is a poetry writ large–so the combination has stuck. Over the years I’ve added meditation, herbalism, and Reiki to my practice, since…well, if everything’s connected, you want access to a little of everything, right?
If you’re really interested, I’ll also share my chart, because…if you’re really interested, you might like to know. Might we work well together? I’d hope so, but if you’re deathly afraid of people born under a full moon…well, we were-folk are just misunderstood.
